Our Purpose
Path to Hinduism is a free, non-commercial guide for anyone drawn to Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) — whether you are exploring it for the first time or returning to a faith your family once held. Hinduism has no central authority and no single conversion procedure, which can leave sincere seekers confused about where to begin. This site gathers the practical path in one clear place: what to study, how to practice, how to find community, and how the formal ceremonies work.
Who Is Behind It
This site is maintained by practicing Hindus who wanted to make the way in easier for others, out of devotion rather than any institution or business. We deliberately keep the site free of names and personal details — the teachings matter, not the messengers. Nothing here is sold, and no one profits from it.
How We Approach the Material
- Tradition-neutral. Hinduism is a family of traditions. We present the broad, shared path and point out where lineages differ, rather than pushing any one school.
- Honest about disagreement. Where Hindus hold different views — on ceremonies, diet, or who may enter — we say so plainly instead of pretending there is one answer.
- Welcoming, never pressuring. A sincere, free choice is the only kind worth making. We open the door; we never push anyone through it.
- Rooted in real sources. The guidance draws on established texts, temple practice, and long-standing organizations such as the Arya Samaj and the Himalayan Academy.
Our Promises to You
- Free forever — no paywalls, no products, no donations solicited.
- No tracking of who you are — we use only privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics to count visits, and collect no personal data.
- Respectful of every reader — including those of other faiths, and those still just curious.

A Note of Humility
This is general guidance, not a substitute for a living teacher. Practices vary by tradition, lineage, and region. When something matters — a ceremony, a vow, a question of conscience — ask a priest or elder at a temple you trust. The final steps of the path are always walked in person.
